About Us

The Feral Art School offers high quality learning experiences for adults over 18 with a curiosity for engaging with and making art work. We are a co-operative consisting of professional artists, designers and educators who encourage experimentation, high aspirations and individual fulfilment. We encourage a collaborative approach, exploring and sharing experiences to develop personal practice.

No previous experience is required to access our courses but we offer a progression from general introductory level to more specialist levels. For those who want to develop their creative practice further we have a Supported Studios scheme where members are offered a space to work in and have regular tutor input. The next step on is our Independent Studios where members are encouraged to create their own independent artist group, working and exhibiting together.

We are part of a growing national and international network of alternative art schools but distinctive to our context in the city of Hull.
