Feral Textiles Collective

ABOUT THE COURSE
Experiment. Connect. Develop. Exhibit.
The Feral Textiles Collective is an eight-week progression course for textile makers who want to experiment with new techniques, develop their creative practice and create work for exhibition. Bringing together two complementary tutor specialisms, the course explores experimental textile art, mixed media, and stitch. Through practical demonstrations, material exploration, individual project development and supportive feedback, you’ll discover new possibilities, build confidence and develop your own artistic direction. The course is structured around two flexible projects. The first encourages experimentation and discovery; the second offers an opportunity to develop a more personal or ambitious piece of work. You can build on skills from an introductory textiles course or bring existing experience and explore new challenges. Each week has a clear focus, with demonstrations and individual support tailored to the interests and needs of the group. There’s plenty of time to make, experiment, exchange ideas and learn from one another in a supportive, collaborative studio environment.
