Hull Print Collective course

ABOUT THE COURSE

This 6 week course is available for Hull Print Collective members only.

We will be exploring etching techniques with nitric acid and zinc, through hard and soft grounds, sugar-lift, spit bite, open bite and aquatint.

Those wanting to sign up for this programme should work on images that relate to zinc plate sizes of their choice that are available from Hawthorn Print Supplies and include:

100 x 100mm. 150 x 100mm. 150 x 150mm. 200 x 150mm. 200 x 200mm.
300 x 300mm. 450 x 300mm. 600 x 450mm.

Hawthorn have a metal guillotine and we can request specific plate sizes cut down from the range of stock plates in the preceding list. Let Andi know what size of plate you would like to work on, so that it can be ordered in advance and available for use on 16 September.

The course will cost £86 .00 per head with additional costs for zinc plate and etching paper.

We can accommodate a maximum of nine printmakers on the course and require a minimum of seven enrolled printmakers to run the programme. We have a large etching press and a smaller etching press available to print from.
